Ziyan Gao

Ziyan Gao is a PhD candidate at the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering UNSW, with a passion for advancing healthcare through innovative technology. As a member of the ARC Research Hub for Connected Sensors for Health, she is working on the Sydney Pain Management Centre project to develop cutting-edge powering solutions for pain management.

Her research focuses on soft sensors, wearable technology, and implanted energy harvesting for power solutions and storage. Her goal is to harvest the energy by advanced technologies to power active biomedical devices. Through her work, she aims to develop self-powered wearable sensors and suitable powering solution. Her research has the potential to improve the way we approach health and wellness.
