Connected Sensors from Discovery to Device
Drawing on the expertise of our industry partners and research investigators, we aim to uplift Australia’s medical devices and technologies.
The Research Hub for Connected Sensors for Health, funded in 2021 under the Australian Research Council (ARC) Industrial Transformation Research Program, strives to build a national end-to-end ecosystem for designing, manufacturing, and commercialising clinical-grade sensors predictive analytics tools.
Under the leadership of Scientia Professor Chun Wang at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Sydney, the Hub consists of diverse leading experts in design and manufacturing, medical device regulation, and commercialisation working in a network that brings together universities and industry partners.
Our vision
To develop and deploy connected sensors to the global market for the benefit of humanity.
Our mission
We strive to position Australia at the forefront of connected health by building an end-to-end ecosystem integrating sensor science, design, manufacturing and commercialisation capabilities.
Our goals
Better health. Long term improved chronic disease management, preventive healthcare, and rehabilitation for Australians
Better capacity. New talents by training and skills uplift of researchers and engineers for an industry-ready workforce
Better wealth. Advanced manufacturing capability for connected sensors and beyond by creating new products and services for early detection, monitoring, prevention
