Noman Zahid is a PhD Scholar at UNSW Sydney within the School of Biomedical Engineering. His research focuses on developing closing the care loop telerehabilitation solutions specifically designed for individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease.
Noman’s work bridges the gap between engineering and clinical practice, with experimental research conducted in collaboration with NeuRA (Neuroscience Research Australia) and “Steps against the burden of Parkinson’s disease” (StepUP) project, funded under the Joint European Programme for Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND). By leveraging advanced sensor integration and intelligent systems, he aims to create adaptive healthcare technologies that provide continuous, responsive care for patients in home-based settings.
