Mohamed Kilani

Dr Mohamed Kilani is a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW Sydney, Australia. He received his PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from UNSW.
He was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to join Wayne State University, USA, where he received his MS degree in Materials Science and Engineering. He received his BS degree specializing in Mechatronics and his MS degree in Mechanics and Systems Engineering from the National Engineering School of Sousse, Tunisia.
Dr Kilani’s current research is focused on the controlled crystallization of nanostructured materials and their application for facile manufacturing of chemical nanosensors. He is working with Flame Security International to develop gas nanosensors for bushfire safety and defence applications.
