Jason Hayes

Current role:  19 years with SCHOTT MINIFAB in various roles.  In order that SCHOTT MINIFAB continues to support both leading edge product developments, and the manufacturing capabilities needed to take them to market, we are continuously exploring current, adjacent, and emerging market segments to ensure that we are prepared for the next challenge. I engage with key stakeholders across all areas of our business, as well as with a global network of expertise critical to keeping us at the leading edge of microfluidic design and manufacturing.

Current interests in research and development relevant to the Hub: I personally have 25 years of experience in micro, nano, and bio technologies that have been applied to microfluidic devices, and particular to medical diagnostics.  My passion is to help translate early stage research projects though the various stages of development, aligned with target markets, and with clearly defined uniqueness that will result in market success.  Microfluidic design, material selection, manufacturing strategy, market insights, and quality and regulatory processes are key skills to assist with this goal.
