Dongyu Bai

Dongyu Bai is currently a PhD student at the School of Mechanical, Medical, and Process Engineering at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Her research primarily centers on deep learning molecular dynamics (DLMD), with a particular focus on its application to two-dimensional (2D) materials. By employing deep learning force fields as a replacement for traditional force fields, DLMD provides the potential for conducting high-precision, large-scale simulations of 2D materials.

The objective of her research is to uncover the mechanisms governing processes within 2D materials through DLMD. By using this understanding, the performance of 2D materials across various application scenarios can be predicted, including assessing suitability of novel 2D materials for applications such as water treatment filtration membranes and sensors.
