Dr Amanda Hayes is an experienced administrator, researcher, and academic with a career spanning universities, government, and industry. She has extensive expertise in health and medical technology, with strengths in research translation, product development, regulatory strategy, and commercialisation. Amanda completed the Cicada Innovations NSW Health Medical Device Commercialisation Training Program – Health Core
Most recently, Amanda has worked with health-focused start-ups across all stages of product development, from early research through to compliance and regulatory approval. She previously served as the Medtech/Health Theme Leader at the NSW Smart Sensing Network (NSSN), contributing to the initial application for the ARC Connected Sensors for Health Hub.
Amanda was awarded an Australian Museum Eureka Research Award for her pioneering work in in vitro toxicology, including the development of “lungs in a dish” models and is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the School of Chemistry at UNSW.
