Bharath Babu Manjunath

Bharath Babu Manjunath is currently pursuing his PhD in Functional Materials and Microsystems at the School of Engineering, RMIT University in Australia. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Information Science and Technology from Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2011. After completing his bachelor’s degree, he joined the R&D team at Manipal Technologies Limited, where he worked on flexible and printed electronics. With over 11 years of experience in this field, he has filed six patents and published a journal paper in the flexible and printable electronics domain. His work has involved various projects including photovoltaics, displays, sensors, and energy harvesters.

During his PhD research, Bharath is focusing on the development of wearable biosensors powered by battery-free wearable indoor energy harvesters and thermoelectric generators. His research aims to develop a system for monitoring patients continuously using perpetual power, enabling unattended patient monitoring.
