Three Hub researchers receive ARC Linkage Project Grants

POSTED: 01 Apr, 2022

Congratulations to our Hub Chief Investigators, Scientia Professor Justin Gooding, Professor Dewei Chu, Professor Tom Wu, and Hub Partner Organisation Australian Advanced Materials for receiving two ARC Linkage Project grants as part of the 2021 round.

Professor Justin Gooding’s research aims to provide a simple method for creating complex 3D cell cultures for in vitro cell based assays using 3D printing. The 3D cell cultures will be used in fundamental cell biology, studying diseases and developing new drugs.

Professor Dewei Chu’s project with Professor Tom Wu and Australian Advanced Materials aims to develop a next generation energy harvesting device that can directly generate electricity from moisture in the air for self-powered, wearable electronics. This will be achieved by developing a new class of carbon-based nanomaterials and large-scale printing technology.

Congratulations to our Hub researchers and Hub Partner!

The ARC awarded 11 Linkage Project grants, with UNSW receiving the highest number in the country.
